Sometimes it feels as if clarity has vanished – as if the simple seeing has been lost. But what could really be lost? When even the wish to see more is included in seeing, only this remains: what is already here.
There’s a moment when everything becomes simple. No effort to reach something, no need to understand.
There’s just what is here. Unexcited. Still. Obvious.
And sometimes, that’s exactly when the thought appears: “I got it.”
And then, shortly after: “I’ve lost it.”
The mind immediately tries to make sense of this quiet clarity. It turns it into an event – something that came and went.
But look closely: What could actually have been lost?
What’s here is always here. Even the thought “I lost it” appears within this presence.
It’s not outside of it, not disturbing or dividing. It’s simply another thought – like any other.
In truth, there is no special seeing. Nothing to hold on to. No state that can disappear.
When you notice the wish arising – to see more, understand deeper, or be clearer – see that wish too.
Don’t leave it outside. Include it in what’s already happening.
That’s the invitation: To include the wish to see more in seeing itself.
Then the separation dissolves – between the one who looks and what is seen.
What remains is simple presence.
Ordinary. Unspectacular.
No special seeing.
Just what is.
