Expectations around Awakening

What do we actually expect from awakening? That everything becomes easy? That nothing disturbs us anymore? A direct look shows how often our assumptions miss the point.

Why do we believe that awakening will fix everything?
Why do we think nothing will disturb us anymore?
Why do we hope for a state where we can simply endure everything?

It almost looks like a wish for collapse.
A wish for the struggle to end.
For our limits to disappear.
For nothing to sting or press anymore.

And yet we fear that idea too.
The thought that nothing would matter afterwards.
That nothing would touch us.

But that’s a misunderstanding.

Things won’t become meaningless.
There will still be areas you care about.
There will be things you stand up for.

Your limits will become clearer.
More direct.
More honest.

The difference is simple:
You don’t pull against the experience anymore.
You don’t try to push a feeling away.
You don’t try to change the moment.

The struggle ends.
The suffering ends.

And from this plain, steady place
you can act freely.
Without pressure.
Without resistance.
Just as it happens.
